The bee on the can is probably not a honey bee

Yellowjackets want your soda. Honey bees want flowers. If you are standing on a sidewalk in August, the loud one at the trash is often a wasp.

Honey bees are furred, with pollen baskets on the hind legs when they have been working. They go home to a box or a hollow. They do not live in the ground by the playground very often. That is usually something else.

Do not swat a foraging honey bee on a Bidens head. She will go. Do not stick a stick in a hole in the ground.
